 | News Item: Opening party for Brookvale Dojang was a huge success! |
 Over 200 spectators packed into the new Empower Dojang in 22 Orchard Rd Brookvale to witness and be part of the birth of a new and dynamic martial centre in the middle of Brookvale. This dojang is the new home of our Northern Beaches Hapkido Dojang.
The event started with a ceremonial cutting of the ribbon by Kumdo Master Jang followed by a spiritual cleansing by Uncle Max, an aboriginal tribal elder from the local community. A great demonstration followed and included:
- sword pattern and cutting demos by Master Jang and his student Annie,
- Taekwondo demo by Master Ron Claassens and his students
- Hapkido demo by Mater Geister and his students
- Zumba workout by Anne Mouland-Claassens.
A big thanks goes out to Tup Moekaa from Hunter Hapkido who came down to help out with the demo.
The demos went down very well with the spectators showing interest in joining the dojang and starting on their own martial arts journey. Great fun was had by all.
