Story just in from Korea Trip by Matt Geister

Travel and Training in KoreaOur intrepid foreign correspondent Matt Geister has sent this report and photos from his trip to Korea. He is back in Seoul enjoying the last 2 days of his visit and should be back on Tuesday.

1. Purpose of visit was to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Death of Choi Yong Sul , Founder of Korean Hapkido.

2. Objective was to learn about our history, and to go back to the roots of our Martial Art.

3. Aim to interact with Dojunim Kim Yun Sang, his team of high level black belts and 30 Hapkido participants from Germany, Netherlands, USA, France, Canada, UK, New Zealand and 13 participants from around Australia.

4. It has been a week of intense training upon So Dae Mountain, in a Dojang specially prepared for the Festival. A very well organised and constructed training regime of Yong Sul Kwan Hapkiyusul.

5. Conclusion: It has been an extremely fulfilling experience for all, along with fun, laughter, story swapping and global sharing of our Hapkido knowledge and skills. Stay tuned .................. Matt Geister, Korea.
