I'm planning to move to Paris, France this year, and I was wondering if anyone has ever trained there and would know any good places to do Hapkido, as I certainly don't want to give it up!!
Failing that, though, if anyone knows any other good martial arts places in Paris, I would also be grateful Smile

I am not sure if they are in Paris but the Jin Jung Kwan has some schools in France. Headed by Master Couet who is a senior student of Lee Chang Soo (the current head of the kwan).
There are many vids of Master Couet on youtube such as:

Jing Jun Kwan is a very dynamic and physically demanding style of Hapkido, some awesome demos on youtube.

The web site for the Paris club is:

http://hapkistyle.free.fr/

There is another group I know about: http://www.parishapkido.fr/fr/accueil

They seem friendly and their Hapkido is good.

If you cannot find any Hapkido in your area - you can also look for Taijutsu (a version of standup Jujitsu imported into France in the 1800s!) - very similar to Hapkido. Another similar art is Viet Vao Dao (Vietnamese Martial Art) - very similar to Hapkido as it was taught to in Vietnam in the 1950s and 1960s in Vitenam by Korean instructors who know Hapkido.

Hope you have a fun time in Paris - it can be a wonderful place (in Spring and Summer).

You will find martial arts students a little different in Europe - they seem interested health and cultural aspects - not just "can you use it in a fight?".
